Employment Requirements
-Must be able to read and write English
-Know basic math skills
- 5 years experience in painting signs or automotive.
SKILLS
Sign Painters need the following skills and abilities:
-knowledge of sign or automotive painting.
-good leadership skills.
-ability to mix paint.
-ability to spray primer / paint to have an even and clean appearance.
-Good color vision
-Skills in the use of orbital sanders, grinder, and spray guns.
-ability to mask and prep aluminum, metal, wood, and plastic.
-physical strength and stamina.
-Creative and an eye for detail.
-Patience to focus on precise work.
-Awareness of safe working procedures.
-Good interpersonal skills in working with co-workers and customers.
-Ability to mix and match PMS colors.
-Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
Main Duties
-Mix and match all paint or PMS colors.
-Tend or operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare item for application of paint.
-Prep and paint Signs.
-Log all paint and VOC usage daily.
-maintain and control all hazardous waste storage and tracking.
-clean and maintain booth, equipment, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.
-responsible for keeping track and usage of all paints, solvents, supplies, and primers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour 2pm to 10:30pm
