Shipping Clerk

Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm 

Status: Fulltime / Temp-to-Hire

Purpose:

Responsible for in-house end-to-end order fulfillment.  The pulling, packing, labeling, loading, palletizing and shipping of orders.

Ideal Candidate:

Has hands-on Shipping experience, and is able to operate a Reach Truck, Stand-Up Order Picker, Electric Pallet Jack,

and/or Sit-Down Forklift in a racking system warehouse. Is safety conscious; has a Can-Do attitude/Team-Player mentality;

and has good listening and time management skills.

Requirements:

·       Can communicate well in English (read/write/speak)

·       Minimum 3 years of Shipping experience that includes: picking/packing, sorting/counting, labeling/palletizing, completing shipping paperwork, loading shipments and invoicing 

·       Can lift heavy objects by hand: Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

·       Able to use the following industrial equipment: Reach Truck, Stand-Up Order Picker, Electric Pallet Jack, Sit-Down Forklift

·       Is computer literate: can use MS Office; email and printers to make labels and print orders

·       Has experience using the following shipping software: FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip and USPS

·       Familiar with LTL shipments

·       Able to use RF scanning equipment

·       Good math skills necessary to count and bag order items

·       Good listening and follow through skills; is able to follow oral instructions

·       Requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy

·       Familiar with warehouse packing materials and equipment; compressed air staple guns and paper machine

·       Strength and Stamina needed to routinely pick up and move heavy objects

·       Able to keep up in a fast-paced warehouse environment

·       Regular attendance and punctuality are required
