Shipping / Receiving Associate

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments using various carrier systems
• Prepare, pack, and label items for shipment
• Verify and record incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving operations
• Proficiency in using FedEx Shipping Manager
• Experience with UPS WorldShip and DHL shipping systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of inventory management practices
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Understanding of customs documentation and international shipping procedures
