Job Title: Mechanical Assembler – (1st Shift)

Location: Santa Ana, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM; Saturday overtime (5:00 AM–11:00 AM)

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assemblers to join our production team. This position involves assembling cryogenic pump components and related equipment according to specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and maintains high attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble cryogenic pump components and perform other related production tasks as assigned.

• Fit, align, and adjust all components (including bearings and seals) to close tolerances; document clearances for engineering review.

• Verify work to ensure conformance with specifications, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.

• Perform troubleshooting, rework, and assist in failure analysis when required.

• Maintain tools, workstations, and equipment per 5S principles.

• Follow all company Quality, Safety, and Engineering standards.

• Consistently meet production and customer delivery schedules (target: 80%+ on-time).

• Disassemble and inspect used pumps for wear, damage, or operational failure causes.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and report necessary repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in mechanical or electrical system assembly, maintenance, or repair preferred.

• Background in HVAC, refrigeration, or cryogenic systems is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Brazing or welding

• Dynamic and static balancing

• Laser machine operation

• Machining and inspection

• Reading blueprints and schematics

• Basic AC/DC electrical understanding

• Familiarity with regulators, valves, solenoids, and pressure relief devices

• Knowledge of materials of construction and system components

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and use hands throughout the shift.

• Lift or move up to 25 lbs as needed.

• Overtime may include weekends, nights, or holidays depending on workload.

• Work environment: primarily warehouse/production setting.

• May require valid driver’s license and clean driving record for inter-facility travel.
