Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to support daily production operations by staging materials, assisting operators, and maintaining inventory of production films and supplies. This role is ideal for someone organized, dependable, and detail-oriented who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position includes material handling, machine setup support, and general production assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and set up film rolls from cold storage for production runs according to schedules.

• Verify daily machine production and assist operators as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of film usage and inventory balances.

• Support production schedules by ensuring timely film setup and availability.

• Report any machine issues, abnormalities, or downtime to the Lead Operator or Supervisor.

• Assist with monthly cycle counts and physical inventory processes.

• Follow all safety procedures and company regulations to ensure a hazard-free work area.

• Model teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude with coworkers and supervisors.

• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned and complete all tasks to required quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 1–3 years of related manufacturing or production experience preferred.

• Experience operating or assisting with industrial equipment is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.

• Comfortable following verbal and written instructions and working independently or as part of a team.

• Basic computer literacy (PC use preferred).

• Forklift experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
