Job Title: Mechanical Assembler (2nd Shift)
Location: Santa Ana, Ca
Pay Rate: $22.50
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM (Training on 1st shift before transition)
We’re currently hiring a Mechanical Assembler for 2nd shift to support the production of cryogenic pump components and related assemblies. This position requires precision mechanical skills, the ability to follow technical documentation, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards. Initial training will take place on 1st shift before moving to the regular 2nd shift schedule.
Assemble cryogenic pump components and perform additional assigned production tasks.
Fit, align, and adjust bearings, seals, and other parts to close tolerances; document all clearances for engineering review.
Check assembled units to ensure conformance to blueprints, specifications, and SOPs.
Perform troubleshooting, rework, and assist in root-cause and failure analysis when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace according to 5S standards.
Adhere to all company Quality, Engineering, and Safety policies.
Maintain regular attendance and adhere to production schedules.
Disassemble and inspect used pumps to diagnose wear, operational issues, and potential improvements.
Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines and report issues promptly.
Contribute to on-time performance goals (target: 80%+ on-time delivery).
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in mechanical or electrical system assembly, installation, or maintenance preferred.
Background in HVAC, refrigeration, or cryogenic systems is a plus.
Brazing or welding
Dynamic and static balancing
Machining, laser machine operation, and inspection skills
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Understanding of materials of construction and system components (e.g., regulators, valves, solenoids, pressure relief devices)
Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuitry
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands throughout the shift.
May need to lift up to 25 lbs.
Overtime may include weekdays, weekends, or holidays depending on workload.
Work is primarily performed in a warehouse/production environment.
Some travel between local facilities may be required; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be requested.
