3 positions: Schedule 2B — Off Sunday/Monday — $22.50/hour
1 position: Schedule 2C — Off Wednesday/Thursday — $23.00/hour
1 position: Schedule 2D — Off Tuesday/Wednesday — $23.00/hour
The Extrusion Operator performs semi-skilled work operating equipment and supporting the production of rolled material. Responsibilities include packaging roll material from the winder, operating equipment controls for loading and unloading rolls safely, preparing finished product samples, and printing and labeling material for shipment to customers.
Package rolls as they are produced on the machine according to work order instructions.
Obtain material for processing from inventory bins and notify a supervisor of damaged, defective, or missing materials.
Perform machine set-ups according to standard procedures or work order plans.
Check operating controls and safety stops on equipment before operating.
Review work orders and drawings, and resolve conflicts as needed.
Produce and pack the manufactured product per work order instructions during the shift.
Prepare samples of the finished product.
Print and label material for shipment to customers.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
Maintain effective working relationships with team members.
Maintain required lift cart certification.
Report any potential safety hazards to a supervisor or manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Good handwriting and labeling accuracy.
Ability to follow routine oral and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
Ability to work safely in a production environment.
PPE Requirement:
This position requires the use of a 3M 6000 series respirator in the Extrusion department.
