Roto Machine Operator I – 3rd Shift
Location: Huntington Beach, Ca
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:25 PM – 6:30 AM
Pay: $19.00/hour base + $1.50/hour shift differential = $20.50/hour total


About the Role

TeamQuest Staffing is hiring a 3rd Shift Machine Operator I to support production operations at our client’s facility. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating assigned rotational molding machines (Ferry 330 or Ferry 220), maintaining quality output, and ensuring safe, efficient production performance throughout each shift.

This position offers stable, full-time hours with opportunities for overtime and long-term career growth in a hands-on manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety equipment is available, inspected, and properly used.

  • Check equipment, molds, machines, and hoists for proper operation; report issues immediately.

  • Set up and start molds according to the production schedule and standard procedures.

  • Enter machine cycle and production data into the company system (Prism).

  • Monitor machines to ensure parts meet cycle, weight, and quality standards.

  • Prepare molds and cooling jigs in advance to maintain production efficiency.

  • Perform scheduled mold changes and assist with material/color changeovers.

  • Conduct minor maintenance such as replacing hoses or fittings when needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift.

  • Troubleshoot production problems, coordinating with maintenance and leads when necessary.

  • Accurately record cycle times, weights, rejects, and quality data.

  • Support production goals while upholding all company safety, quality, and performance standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One year of related manufacturing, molding, or machine operating experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, safety policies, and work procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions/decimals).

  • Must be flexible to work overtime or adjust schedule as production demands.
