Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and a strong understanding of materials handling processes. This role involves operating a sit down forklift. A commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • * Prepare items for shipment, ensuring they are packed and/or palletized according to established procedures for safe delivery.
  • * Shrink-wrap pallets per work instructions and apply all required stickers, labels, and shipping documents.
  • * Operate pallet jack and forklift for loading and unloading shipments.
  • * Receive, inspect, and record shipments, including unloading packages and verifying contents against orders.
  • * Possess a strong eye for detail and basic math skills.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a focus on heavy lifting and materials handling.
  • Experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving roles is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and safety practices is essential.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is beneficial.
