Position Summary

The Screen Printer operates personalization machinery and related equipment used in pad printing and silkscreen printing, similar to typical screen printer roles that involve setting up presses, mixing inks, and monitoring print quality.
This position also supports the packaging of printed production and must follow established work processes, safety rules, and company guidelines as outlined in department procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up presses, prepare ink, make clichés/plates, and clean machines as part of the pad printing and silkscreen process.

• Monitor production, adjust machines to meet specific customer specifications, and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintain and clean screen printing and pad printing equipment, and troubleshoot basic mechanical or print-quality issues.

• Review designs and work orders before starting each job and confirm equipment is in proper working order.

• Print with repeatable results while anticipating, recognizing, and correcting issues with ink, screens, or press settings.

• Verify and follow all work-order instructions, including color matching and color verification prior to and during production.

• Confirm the correct quantity has been printed before cleaning and breaking down equipment in preparation for the next job.

• Operate secondary equipment such as screen printers, pad printers, Fotoba Automatic Cutters, and exposure units, which are commonly used to cut and finish printed rolls.

• Read and understand instructions for operating both primary and secondary machinery.

• Inspect product at each step of the printing and/or packaging process, identify quality defects, and perform necessary rework to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with screen printing, pad printing, or similar print-production machinery preferred.

• Ability to read and follow work orders, design specifications, and basic machine instructions.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with inks, screens, and printing equipment.

• Strong attention to detail, especially with color matching and print quality.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
